Why use this rotator

See every page

Thumbnails of the whole document update as you rotate, so you can check the result before saving.

Saved permanently

The rotation is written into the file itself, so pages stay the right way up for everyone who opens it.

Truly private

Your document is rotated on your own device and never uploaded to any server.

Why do PDF pages end up sideways?

It usually comes from scanning. A document feeder pulls pages in whichever way they were stacked, so a batch can come out with some pages rotated ninety degrees or completely upside down.

It also happens when a phone photo is turned into a PDF: the camera records the orientation as a hidden tag, and if the app that built the file ignores that tag, the page ends up on its side.

Why rotate a PDF permanently?

Most PDF readers let you turn a page on screen, but that view is temporary — it is not saved into the file. Send that document to someone else and they see it sideways all over again.

Rotating properly writes the orientation into the PDF itself. That matters when a file is going to a client, an employer or an official body, and it matters for printing, because a page marked sideways will print sideways.
